As a cadet you’ll get to visit military bases, messes and ships and crawl all over planes, tanks and other equipment.

You’ll get a uniform and learn drill, communications, first aid, navigation, orienteering and safe weapons handling.

You’ll get to meet serving men and women who’ll tell you about life in the Australian Defence Force.

You’ll get to test your field craft through bivouacs and camps.

You’ll get the chance to make friends from all over Australia and travel overseas.

And, depending on the organisation you join, you could also learn how to fly, glide or sail.
