Gap Year Program
Sign up for the Australian Defence Force (ADF) Gap Year program in the Navy or, Army. Air Force Gap Year program is currently not available.
You'll have a unique opportunity to get trained, acquire transferable skills and gain independence, all while earning more than
$40,000
per year.
Both the Navy and Army have tailored their Gap Year programs to give you a wide range of choice. Firstly, you will undertake basic military training. Then if you're a Navy participant you can expect to experience life onboard a ship as a sailor. While Army is offering a range of employment streams such as a soldier, combat engineer, artillery, supply coordinator and administration.
The ADF Gap Year gives you a once in a lifetime work experience placement in the ADF.
