Cadet staff are trained and available to support cadets in all activities.

Cadet staff and Australian Defence Force personnel are committed to taking care during activities to ensure community standards are maintained and cadet capabilities are considered. They are also governed by Federal and State child protection legislation.

Each cadet is responsible for carrying out cadet staff instructions for their own safety.  They are expected to behave with respect for others, property and equipment, and to be aware of the expectations of their parents or guardians.

The Australian Defence Force Cadets has issued an occupational health and safety policy supported by a comprehensive training program to enhance safety awareness for cadets and their officers and instructors.
