Allergy Policy
We all want to keep the Australian Army Cadets safe, fun and accessible to all young Australians.
Due to the increased prevalence of allergies in the community, we’ve developed an allergy management policy and information pack that applies to existing and potential cadets, cadet staff and parents and guardians.
The policy and pack will assist in managing allergies to a best practice standard.
Get to know it
Familiarising yourself with the policy and information pack will be essential before cadets can access the Combat Ration Pack.
This page provides all the information you need to know about the policy and pack. If you have any queries, please speak to your chain of command.

Ban on ADF Ration Packs
The Chief of the Defence Force, Air Chief Marshal Angus Houston AC, has issued an order (CDF/OUT/2007/400) directing that from May 2007, all members of the ADF Cadets not be issued with, or consume, ADF Combat Ration Packs (CRP).
Accordingly, members of the ADFC are not to be issued with or consume ADF CRP. There are no exceptions or exemptions to this policy. All future ADFC activities are, until further notice, to be planned and conducted on the basis of using rations other than ADF CRP.
There is currently no further information regarding the lifting of this ban.
