Australian Army Cadets is developing a training package which consists of a suite of courses designed to ensure that all Army Cadet Staff (ACS) can access the training that they need to function within an Army Cadet Unit.  The courses of the package will provide the skills and knowledge required to complete the tasks and roles associated with developing youth in a military setting reflective of the Australian Army.

There are four core learning areas throughout the training package.  These are: ACS roles and responsibilities, health and safety, the military environment and youth management and development.   The courses are designed to be flexible and minimise time away from home by providing pre course study as well as a face to face component.
