Chief of Army Cadet Team Challenge 

The Chief of Army Cadet Team Challenge is the premier event on the AAC calendar. The objective of the Chief of Army Cadet Team Challenge is to identify the champion region within the Australian Army Cadets (AAC) by placing regional cadet teams, of section size, in a challenging and competitive environment in which their basic cadet qualities, knowledge and skills can be assessed.

The Cadets, aged between 15 and 18 years, spend two days in a physically and mentally challenging environment in which their personal qualities, knowledge and skills will be assessed.  The Cadets will be tested on skills such as decision-making, first aid, and field craft.  Their leadership and teamwork skills will be put to the test whilst undertaking activities such as field navigation, the obstacle course and a team drill competition.

The Chief of Army Cadet Team Challenge concludes with the presentation of the Chief of Army Cadet Team Challenge trophy to the winning team. The regional cadet teams compete for two separate trophies Chief of Army Cadet Team Challenge. The first is the Chief of Army Cadet Team Challenge Trophy for Drill awarded to the best section in the drill competition this is normally presented by the Regimental Sergeant Major - Army. The second trophy is the main trophy and is normally presented by the Chief of the Australian Army.
