Cadet training at times involves access to a variety of different machinery. 

This can include the use of hand held tools whilst undertaking basic field engineering courses, to using radio communication equipment whilst learning or applying radio telecommunications skills. 

As with all other activities in the AAC careful and comprehensive training is undertaken before the use of equipment in a controlled environment under guidance from suitably qualified Army Cadet Staff.
