Participate in physical training:
Cadets participate in a variety of physical training activities. The very nature of the program will see cadets traverse country carrying their equipment. The distance to be covered will predicate the amount of equipment the cadet will carry. Other physical training activities they will embark upon are, potted sports such as volley ball.
Selected cadets of suitable age may participate in beep tests and obstacle courses. Contact sports are not part of the AAC program. The AAC does not participate in gruelling pack marches for many kilometres such as those activities seen in military movies.
It is important to understand that there are occasions for older cadets where the level of physical activity is greater than that expected of the junior cadets. The AAC understands that a gradual build on the amount of physical activity is important.
All physical training is conducted under the supervision of Australian Defence Force (ADF) Physical Training Instructors or suitably qualified Army Cadet Staff.
