Living in the field

Live in the field in tentage (for example: lower than normal access to shelter, food, hygiene facilities and refrigeration):

Cadets must be able to live in the field under tentage or an individual shelter, often referred to in the ADF as a hootchie.

Whilst living in the field Cadets may be exposed to lower than normal access to shelter, food, hygiene facilities and refrigeration than they are normally used to.

Cadets at all times are supervised and monitored by qualified Army Cadet Staff.
